OmeTV or Titli: one feature or several?

OmeTV is built around one thing, random video chat with people around the world. Titli has a random Match too, but adds live streams, audio rooms and private messages, built for adults in India.

People looking for an OmeTV alternative usually want the same quick start: press a button, see a new face, talk. We make Titli, so we are not neutral, but we have tried to compare the two on the things you can check yourself. Where we could not confirm a detail about OmeTV, we have left it out.

Two different ideas of video chat

OmeTV is a random video chat service that runs on the web and, in many countries, as a mobile app. According to its own website, you can choose a country, set your gender, or use a Couple mode with a friend before connecting, and it advertises built-in translation and no time limits on conversations. It is owned by a company called Bad Kitty's Dad, LDA, based in Portugal.

Titli takes a wider approach. Random matching is one tab among several. The idea is that a good conversation should be able to continue: you can follow someone, message them later, or find them hosting a live stream next week.

What OmeTV does well

It is fair to say what draws people to OmeTV:

  • Speed. The skip-and-next format gets you to a new conversation fast.
  • Global reach. It is designed to connect people across countries.
  • Low setup. Signing in with an existing social account takes seconds.

If those three things are all you want, OmeTV's format is simple and focused.

Where the two differ

Signing in

According to the UK online-safety charity Internet Matters, OmeTV lets you join with a Facebook, Google or VK account. Titli asks for a phone number with OTP or a Google account. On Titli, your phone number is not shown to the people you talk to, and you choose what goes on your profile.

Languages

OmeTV is aimed at a worldwide audience and promotes translation inside chats. On Titli, incoming chat messages can be auto-translated into your language, and the whole app interface is available in nine languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Urdu and Arabic. You pick one on the first screen and can switch later. Read more on our Indian languages page.

Moderation and safety

OmeTV's site asks users to report content that breaks its rules. Internet Matters notes that little public detail is available on how its moderation works. In October 2025, Australia's eSafety Commissioner announced that Apple and Google had removed OmeTV from their app stores in Australia, after the service failed to engage with a formal warning about an Australian online safety standard. Its website remained online.

On Titli, we explain our approach openly. During video calls, still snapshots may be captured and reviewed by moderation for safety, with an on-screen indicator, and you agree to this at signup. Hosts can remove, block and ban viewers from their lives, and Titli moderators can end lives and issue strikes. Titli is for adults 18+ only. Our safety page covers the details.

What Titli adds beyond random chat

If you want more than a series of short calls, these are the parts of Titli OmeTV is not built around:

  • Live streams. Hosts go live, viewers chat in real time, follow hosts and can ask to join on screen. There are Popular, New, Following and Scheduled tabs.
  • Audio rooms. A host opens a party room with mic seats, eight by default. You can listen without a camera or take a seat.
  • Private messages. Keep talking after a call with text, photos, voice notes and gifts.

Calls on Titli use coins, billed per minute, and gifts are bought with coins too. Match tickets give a short free match call, and VIP members get daily tickets.

Who should pick which

OmeTV may suit you better if you want to talk mainly with people in other countries, you want to chat with strangers across many countries, or you want a site you can open on a laptop without installing anything. It may also suit people who want an iPhone option where it is available, since Titli has no iOS app.

Titli may suit you better if you are in India, prefer an app in your own language, want clear 18+ rules and visible moderation, or want to move from a random call to a follow, a message or a live stream with the same person.

Trying Titli after OmeTV

Expect a slightly different rhythm. On Titli, you sign in with a phone number or Google. Titli is only for adults aged 18 and over (see our Terms). Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are removed when reported. Set your language first. Then try Match with an interest filter, or browse Explore and start a call from a profile. If anything feels wrong, end the call. You can block or report anyone from their profile or chat.

Frequently asked questions

Does Titli let me pick a country like OmeTV?

No. Titli is built for people in India, and Match uses interest filters rather than country selection.

Can I sign in to Titli with Facebook?

No. You sign in with a phone number and OTP, or with a Google account.

Does Titli translate conversations?

Incoming chat messages can be auto-translated into your language. You can also use the app itself in nine languages, including Hindi, Tamil and Bengali.

Is OmeTV still available?

Its website was online when we checked in October 2026. App store availability varies by country; for example, it was removed from Apple and Google stores in Australia in October 2025, according to the eSafety Commissioner.

Can I just watch on Titli without being on camera?

Yes. You can watch live streams and listen in audio rooms without turning on your camera. Video calls themselves are 1-on-1 and use your camera, which you can control during the call.
