If you want to meet singles online, the honest starting point is this: no app can guarantee that everyone you talk to is single. Profiles can be out of date, and not everyone describes themselves accurately. What an app can do is make it easy to meet lots of new people, easy to have a real conversation, and easy to move on when it is not right. Titli does that on video.
Titli is listed in the Social category on Google Play, not Dating. It is a live video chat app for meeting new people, and some adults use it to get to know other single people face to face.
Titli is only for adults aged 18 and over (see our Terms).
Where you meet people on Titli
Match: one tap, one new person
The Match tab has a single button, Tap to connect. Titli pairs you with an available member and starts a 1-on-1 video call. You can pick interests to match on so that you are more likely to share something, like travel, music or food. Match connects you with a member of the opposite gender at random; there are no age, location or relationship-status filters, so every call is a bit of a surprise. Match calls are billed per minute to the man.
Explore: browse first
Explore lists people in Popular and New. You can filter by country and search. Open a profile, read it, then decide whether to message or call.
Live streams and audio rooms
Not every introduction has to be one-on-one. Watching a live stream and chatting with the host and other viewers is a relaxed way to see someone's personality. Audio rooms are similar, without cameras. If you get on with someone there, you can follow them and talk privately later.
There is no "single" filter. Here is what to do instead
We have chosen not to add a relationship-status filter, and we will not pretend people's profiles always tell you. The good news is that the best filter is a simple question, asked early and kindly.
Ask in the first few minutes, lightly. You do not need to interrogate anyone. Try:
- "So what brings you to Titli? Making friends, or hoping to meet someone special?"
- "Are you more here for fun conversations or looking for something more?"
- "I'm single and curious who I'll meet here. What about you?"
Be clear about yourself first. Saying where you stand makes it easier for the other person to answer honestly.
Accept the answer gracefully. If they are not single, or not looking, say "Fair enough, nice to chat!" and either enjoy the conversation as friends or end the call politely.
Watch for mixed signals over time. Someone who is always vague about their situation, never available at normal hours or keen to keep everything secret may not be telling you the whole story. Our list of online dating red flags covers this and more.
How to be the single people want to talk to
A few habits make you easy to meet:
- Show your face clearly in your profile photo and on calls. Face a window or lamp and hold the phone at eye level.
- Add real interests. "Old Hindi songs, street food, Test cricket" says more than "I love life".
- Lead with curiosity. Ask about their day, their city, the last thing that made them laugh.
- Do not rush. Asking for someone's number, social handles or a photo in the first call is a quick way to end a conversation.
- Be kind when you leave. "It was lovely talking, I'm going to head off now" is always better than vanishing.

Respect and boundaries
Meeting singles online works only when everyone feels safe. Titli's Community Guidelines ban harassment, hate speech and explicit content, and they ask you to respect people who do not want to talk to you. They also say not to ask for or offer money, payment or meetings outside the app.
If someone ignores a boundary, end the call and block or report them from their profile or chat. Still snapshots may be captured during video calls and reviewed by moderation for safety, with an on-screen indicator. Our safety page explains the whole system.
Singles in India, singles everywhere
Titli is made in India and starts Explore on India, but you can choose another country. Google sign-in works from anywhere. If you want to meet singles from other places, read meet people from other countries.
What it costs
Titli is free to download and browse. Video calls are billed per minute in coins to the man. Match tickets give a free match call for a limited number of seconds, and you can collect free coins from the daily bonus and simple tasks. See free dating app for details.
