Chamet alternative: what to check when two apps share a coin model

Chamet and Titli both let you make paid video calls and send gifts. When the money side looks similar, the useful questions are about who runs the app, where you can get it, what else it does and which rules apply.

People who search for a Chamet alternative often already understand how coin-based video chat works. You buy coins, spend them on calls and gifts, and talk to people you would not otherwise meet. Titli works on a similar model, so this page does not pretend the two are opposites. We make Titli. Below, we separate what we could verify about Chamet from what we could not, and we suggest you do the same with any app before you spend money in it.

What we know about Chamet

Chamet is a live video chat app. As reported by TechCrunch in September 2023, it lets users watch live streams, make private paid calls with streamers, and send gifts bought through in-app payments. TechCrunch also reported that India was its most lucrative market.

In September 2023, TechCrunch reported that Google had removed Chamet from the Play Store, with Google saying the app violated its policy on user-generated content. When we checked in October 2026, we could not find a current Google Play listing under the app's earlier package name. Availability can change, so check the store yourself.

We have not described Chamet's matching, room features, languages or current rules in detail, because we could not confirm them from a primary source.

Where Titli is similar

It is honest to start with the overlap:

  • Paid 1-on-1 video calls. On Titli, calls use coins, billed per minute.
  • Virtual gifts. Titli has animated virtual gifts you can send in lives, calls and chats.
  • Live streams. Hosts go live and viewers chat, follow and send gifts.

If you are used to Chamet, none of this will feel new.

Where Titli is different

A random Match, not only host calls

Titli's home tab is Match. Tap to connect and you are paired with an available member for a random video chat, with interest filters if you want them. Match tickets give a short free match call. You can also browse Explore and start a call from a profile, a chat, your call history or the Celebrities tab.

Audio rooms

Titli has audio rooms: a host opens an audio-only party room with mic seats, eight by default. Listeners can take a seat, openly or with the host's approval. You do not need a camera to join in.

Built in India, in Indian languages

Titli is made by GenZ Philam Entertainment, a company in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Our office address and contact emails are public on our about page. The app works in nine languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Urdu and Arabic.

Written guidelines, visible moderation

Our community guidelines ban nudity and explicit content, harassment, hate, illegal content, scams and anyone under 18. During video calls, still snapshots may be captured and reviewed by moderation, with an on-screen indicator and your consent at signup. Titli moderators can end live streams and issue strikes, and hosts can remove, block and ban viewers.

Questions to ask before you spend coins anywhere

Whichever app you choose, these checks protect your money and your privacy:

  1. Who runs the app? Look for a company name, an address and a support email.
  2. Is it in the official store? Avoid APK files from websites, which can carry malware.
  3. How do you pay? On Titli, coins are bought inside the app with UPI, cards or netbanking through secure payment gateways.
  4. What happens when someone breaks the rules? Look for report, block and a written policy.
  5. Can you delete your account? On Titli, Settings > Account > Delete account deactivates your account and hides your profile straight away. To permanently erase your data, email genzphilam@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Titli account".

Who should pick which

Chamet may suit you better if your friends already use it, you are on a device or store where it is available, and you prefer its particular mix of hosts and features. If you use an iPhone, note that Titli has no iOS app.

Titli may suit you better if you want an app from an Indian company with a public address, the option to start a 1-on-1 video call through a random Match, audio rooms alongside lives, and the interface in your own language.

Either way, never send money outside the app, never share OTPs, and report anyone who asks for personal or payment details.
