How Titli works, from download to your first call

If you are wondering how Titli works, or simply how to video chat with new people without feeling lost, this guide is for you. Titli is a social app for adults 18+ in India, made for conversation and friendship. Below, each stage of getting started has its own section, so you can jump to the part you need.

Step 1: Download Titli

1. Open the Google Play store on your Android phone.
2. Search for Titli and open the app listing.
3. Tap Install. The app is free to download.

Titli is made for Android phones and is installed from Google Play. Our download page has the direct link.

Step 2: Pick your language

The first screen asks you to choose a language. Titli is available in English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Urdu and Arabic. Pick the one you are most comfortable with. You can change it later in settings.

Step 3: Sign in

You can sign in in one of two ways:

1. Phone number. Enter your mobile number and type the OTP you receive by SMS.
2. Google account. Tap the Google option and pick your account.

When you sign up, you confirm that you are 18 or older and agree to the Terms and the Privacy Policy, including call moderation. Your phone number is not shown to people you talk to.

Step 4: Set up your profile

A good profile helps people want to talk to you. Take two minutes:

1. Add a clear, friendly profile photo of yourself.
2. Write a short bio: your city, what you enjoy, the languages you speak.
3. Mention a few interests so people have something to ask you about.
4. Choose what you share. You decide how much goes on your profile.

Skip anything personal like your address, college or workplace.

Step 5: Find people to talk to

Titli gives you several ways to meet people. Try each and see which suits you.

Match: random 1-on-1 video chat

The home tab is Match. Tap Tap to connect, and Titli pairs you with an available member for a 1-on-1 video call. You can set interest filters first. Match tickets give you a free match call for a limited number of seconds. More on our random video chat page.

Explore: choose who to call

Explore lets you browse people and open their profiles. From a profile you can follow, message or start a private 1-on-1 video call. Calls use coins, billed per minute.

Lives: watch and join in

In the lives section, browse tabs for Popular, New, Following and Scheduled. Watch a host, chat in real time, follow them and send gifts. You can ask to join as an on-screen guest, and the host decides.

Audio rooms: talk without a camera

Hosts also open audio-only party rooms with mic seats. Listen in, or take a seat and talk.

Messages: chat at your own pace

Send text, photos, voice notes and gifts in private messages. You can start a call from any chat.

Step 6: Understand coins and gifts

1. Coins are Titli's in-app currency. Buy them inside the app with UPI, cards or netbanking through secure payment gateways.
2. You can also collect coins from the daily bonus, simple tasks and inviting friends.
3. Coins pay for video calls (per minute), gifts and some premium features.
4. Gifts are animated thank-yous you can send in lives, calls and chats. They are always optional.
5. VIP is an optional membership with extras such as daily tickets and bonus coins.

Set a monthly budget before buying coins, and stick to it.

Step 7: Know your safety controls

Before your first call, learn where these are:

1. End call. One tap, any time, no explanation needed.
2. Block. Stops someone from contacting you. Available from their profile or chat.
3. Report. Sends the account to moderators, with reasons such as nudity, harassment, fake profile, spam or underage user.
4. Blocked-accounts list. Manage everyone you have blocked from settings.
5. Call moderation. During video calls, still snapshots may be captured and reviewed for safety, and an on-screen indicator shows this.

Step 8: Delete your account if you need to

If Titli is not for you, you can leave at any time:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm. This deactivates your account and hides your profile immediately.

To permanently erase all your data, email genzphilam@gmail.com from your registered phone number or email with the subject "Delete my Titli account". Deletion is completed within 30 days, except data the law requires us to keep, such as payment records. Details are on the delete account page.
