Two phones showing the Titli app: a 1-on-1 video call and a live stream with chat messages

Searching for a boys video chat app usually means one of a few things. You want to meet new guys and see who is funny, kind or interesting. You want someone to talk to after a long day. Or you are curious whether a conversation could turn into something more. All of these are fine reasons, and none of them should come with pressure or discomfort.

Titli is a live video chat app made in India. It is listed in the Social category on Google Play, not Dating, and adults use it to meet new people, make friends, and sometimes to get to know someone romantically on video. Titli is only for adults aged 18 and over (see our Terms).

This page is written mostly for women, but the advice works for anyone who wants to video chat with men, including men who want to make male friends.

How you meet people on Titli

  • Match. Tap to connect and Match connects you with a man at random for a 1-on-1 video call. There are no age or location filters, but interest filters nudge Match towards people who share your interests.
  • Explore. Browse profiles in the Popular and New lists, filter by country and choose who you want to message or call. This gives you the most control over who you talk to.
  • Messages first. If video feels like too much at the start, send a message. DMs support text, photos, voice notes and gifts, and you can decide later whether to call.

Match calls cost you nothing: they are billed per minute to the man. The one case where a woman pays is when you choose to call a man directly from his profile; that call is billed to you per minute at the standard rate. If you would rather never spend coins, use Match, or let him call you.

Set your boundaries before the call

Deciding your rules in advance makes them much easier to stick to when you are mid-conversation and someone is being charming.

  • What you will share. First name and city? Fine. Workplace, college, address, family details, phone number or social handles? Not yet, maybe not ever.
  • What you are there for. Friendship, a chat, light flirting? You do not have to explain yourself, but knowing helps you notice when someone is pushing in a different direction.
  • How long. A first call does not need to be long. Ending after ten good minutes leaves a better impression than dragging on for an hour.
  • Your camera. You control it. Keep your background plain, without anything that shows where you live or work.

Green flags in a guy on video chat

Good conversations tend to look similar. Signs that a man is worth talking to:

  • He introduces himself and asks about you, then listens to the answer.
  • He keeps the conversation on interests, plans, jokes and opinions.
  • He respects a topic change or a "let's not talk about that".
  • He does not ask you to move to another app or share your number.
  • He is fine when you say you need to go, and does not guilt you about it.

Red flags to act on immediately

These are reasons to end a call without a second thought:

  • Comments about your body, or requests to change your camera angle or what you are wearing.
  • Asking for photos, or for anything explicit. Titli bans explicit content.
  • Pushing for your number, address or social handles after you said no.
  • Asking for money, gifts, recharges or help with an "emergency".
  • Getting angry or insulting when you set a limit.
  • Saying they are recording, or threatening to share a screenshot.

For a deeper list, read our guide to online dating red flags, and if anything involves recording or threats, see video call dating safety.

The tools you have on every call

You never need permission to leave.

  1. End the call at any moment, no explanation needed.
  2. Mute your mic or turn off your camera during a call.
  3. Block or report anyone from their profile or chat. Reasons include harassment, nudity, fake profile, spam and underage user. Blocked accounts go into a list in settings.
  4. Moderation. Still snapshots may be captured during video calls and reviewed by moderation for safety, with an on-screen indicator, and everyone agrees to this at sign-up.

Every Titli account is tied to a phone number or Google sign-in, and your phone number is never shown to the people you talk to. Our full Safety page explains how reports are handled.

Making a good call even better

Safety is the floor, not the ceiling. A few habits make calls more fun:

  • Bring a question you actually want answered. "What's the best street food in your city?" gets better conversations than "what do you do?"
  • Use the interests on his profile. If he likes football, ask who he supports and brace for a long answer.
  • Laugh at the awkward bits. A frozen screen or a mum calling from the next room is a great icebreaker.
  • Follow people you enjoyed talking to. You can message or call them again from their profile later, at your pace.

Frequently asked questions

Who will Match connect me with?

Match connects you with a man at random. There are no age or location filters, only optional interest filters. In Explore you can browse profiles and choose who to message, which gives you more control.

Will men on Titli see my phone number?

No. You sign in with a phone number or Google account, but your number is never shown to other members.

What should I do if a guy asks for explicit photos?

End the chat and report him from his profile or chat. Asking for explicit content breaks Titli's Community Guidelines, and moderation can remove the account.

Is it okay to just want friendship?

Absolutely. Titli is a social app for meeting new people, and many conversations are simply friendly. Say so early if you like; the right people will respect it.

Do I pay for video calls as a woman?

Not for Match calls or calls a man makes to you; those are billed to him. You only pay if you choose to call a man directly from his profile, which is billed to you per minute at the standard rate.
